Boarding Day!
And we are OFF to Port Canaveral to board Adventure of the Seas today!
Anyone else on this sailing? I know Thais Acquafreda Lakind is… anyone else joining us to ring in the new year??
We drove down from GA yesterday (flight prices were ) so we opted to drive this time. We had a 6.5 hr drive yesterday a 2 he drive today. We broke the trip up and stayed in St Augustine at World Golf Village Renaissance St Augustine Resort. It’s “right off” I95 (the way the crow flies ). But not really right there. We didn’t love it and won’t stay here again. So in case anyone is in the area and wants to break a trip up, I wouldn’t recommend it.
We are trying a NEW cabin type for us this trip. I’ll share details, videos, price I paid, and all the Moms at Sea tips along the way
BUT… anyone want to guess what cabin type we are staying in first?!

Goooood Morning from Adventure of the Seas!
Yesterday was embarkation day! We are on an 8 night Caribbean cruise for NYE!
Boarding day can be a hectic day so we don’t plan to do much other than explore the ship, unpack, and chill.
We did run into fellow Moms at Sea advisor Thais Acquafreda Lakind and family right after we boarded too!
We are LOVING the setup of Ultra Spacious Ocean View Window cabin we are in. These are not on every ship and some ships that have them have a couple unicorn cabins amongst this cabin category. So while all of these sleep up to 6 guests, some are different layouts based on their location. Moms at Sea can help find these unicorn cabins for you! My kids love their bunk room!
People often ask about movement. Honestly this is so subjective and really does vary. It can vary based on time of year, weather conditions, ship, itinerary, location on the ship, etc. I will say, one night in and for this cabin, time of year, weather, and itinerary it does feel some movement! So just something to keep in mind!
We registered the boys for Adventure Ocean. My 9 year old can sign himself in and out himself (this is with parent approval). I do like he can’t sign his 4 year old brother out. Because no one needs my 4 year old running around unattended now!
My 4 year old asked to go to Kids Club (Adventure Ocean) after dinner for a bit. I dropped him off before he could change his mind. And for the first time in forever… I received no phone from AO. Between nursery years with BOTH kids and my younger son being 3 in Aquanauts recently, this is his first time being 4 where they don’t hand out phones. I laughed with the counselor told me this and I told her she may regret that
Now what everyone is waiting for. HOW MUCH DID WE PAY?
$2,700 total for 4 guests
Refundable rate
Over New Years
Booked on release day 2 years ago
Ultra Spacious Ocean View Window cabin
This is an insanely good price! While this price did not have any price drops which we pride ourselves on, we were able to share with some of our guests who love NYE cruises when this deal came out! Just another reason to get the inside hookup when working with Moms at Sea!
Today is a sea day!
