2025-2026 Bookings for ICON of the Seas are now OPEN!
Icon of the Seas will continue with 7 night sailings out of Miami on Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. As of 8:45pm on 9.11.23 bookings are visible in Royal Caribbean’s booking engine and we anticipate visible to the consumer side shortly.
The initial opening of ICON of the Seas resulted in the biggest booking day in the history of Royal Caribbean and many of those who booked early have watched as prices have skyrocketed with the never before seen demand for this ship.
It’s no surprise that this ship has EVERYONE’S attention (we see you watching)! Icon of the Seas will revolutionize the industry both from the guest experience perspective as well as progressing advancement towards carbon neutrality.
And it make sense! Icon is truly one of a kind. She’s a gem and I’m so fortunate to have invited by Royal Caribbean to tour her in the shipyard in Turku, Finland just last month. Let me tell you- you are truly in for a ROYAL WOW.
From the moment you step on this ship she wins you over, captures your heart, and sparks a sense of adventure. She is pure magic.
This already-fan -favorite also marks 50 years of Royal Caribbean history and is a wonderful meeting place of tradition and evolution. Positioning themselves firmly as the ultimate brand for family cruising, creating bonding moments for families was a driving theme in the creation of ICON.
Here are some fun facts about ICON I learned when touring her at the shipyard in Turku, Finland last month:
-
There are 23 NEW Food & Beverage options
-
Icon has 8 neighborhoods, 5 are new to the brand
-
Icon will have the first Frozen Lime & Coconut Concept
-
Central Park is created to intentionally be different from its counterpart on Oasis Class ships. There will be 20-30% more greenery and noticeably more lush. The trees in Central Park will be up to 50% larger than trees in current Central Park and ICON will have the first Central Park to offer OCEAN VIEWS
-
There will be a focus on what Royal Caribbean is calling “EATER-tainment” offering more opportunities to combine dining and entertainment
-
Capacity for dining has been doubled at the uber popular Izumi Hibachi and there will be a take out option
-
Royal Caribbean hopes to be able o offer the ability to book specific reservations for the Ultimate Dining Plan in the pre-cruise app for ICON and possibly fleet wide
-
Deck 6, 7, and 8 will all have access to Surfside
-
Worried you may get lost on ICON? Look at the carpet! The aft section of the ship will have BLUE carpet to represent water. Midship will be TEAL and forward will be GREEN representing land.
-
There are 10 elevators in the forward elevator bank and 12 in the aft
-
A PlayScape will be located next to Pier 7
-
PRO-TIP: You can enter the windjammer from the central opening at the elevator bank but if you turn and head to the side you will find additional hand washing stations, floor to ceiling views, and it is expected to be the less busy entrance!
-
PRO-TIP 2: If you are booking a Surfside Family Suite, we recommend it for families with younger/smaller children. The sleeper sofa in this cabins opens to the size of a full bed and may not be comfortable for two older teens to share.
